GD & TOP "Don't Go Home" on Inkigayo

GD & TOP never stop surprising their fans when they go on stage and perform with class. Once again, they have shown their flowing charisma and their great creativity skills with a special performance they made on Inkigayo with their song "Don't Go Home". When I saw them perform it in Inkigayo I immediately fell in love with the way they portrayed the song and their flowing movements that perfectly expressed the mood just made me all the more excited! Seeing them perform so professionally has made me anticipate Big Bang's comeback with much more excitement than before. Makes me wish I was able to go to their concert this February.
Well check out the video below and tell us your opinion by writing a comment!

Tell A Kpop Song of the Week

The first Korean song I heard was..."Wrongful Meeting" cover by Ayumi Lee. The song talks about a lover that introduced their best friend to their companion and they fell in love. This type of situation seems awkward and frustrating, for the great betrayal. Most of the song is rapped and it was outstanding to see that even when Ayumi is quite feminine, the rapping part did not shatter that image. Besides I also loved the outfit she wore for this song. I haven't been able to find a higher quality video but here is a snapshot.
What was the first Korean song you heard?

    Super Junior Jeans?

It's not a dream, it is an actual merchandise!

How can you not want this? Surely I clicked the link and fount that along with Super Junior's SPAO modeling, they apparently added more than just pictures of Super Junior to their company. You can check out photos taken in the store, just a few but worth looking at. Too bad I don't live in Korea or I would have a pair of these jeans in my closet already. I wonder if any websites online are selling these. If you do find out a website please post the link on a comment!

    Success in America, global success?

There was always a question in my mind, "Why do Koreans recruit foreigners into their companies?" Kpop was  featured in Youtube some time ago, and they used this spotlight time to promote their auditions that are held in America. If you notice in S.M. Entertainment's official website there are three audition locations you choose from, Korea, Global, and USA. Let that speak for itself. There is usually one members in each group that knows English, a skill that is essential for success in America.
Take for example 2PM's Nickhun, it is known that even though after they saw him audition and rejected him, he was later sent to Korea anyway. Some other expamles are SNSD's Jessica, Super Junior's Kibum, and U-Kiss's Kevin, coincidence much? Recently I read that U-Kiss will be debuting in America, and many other groups are following this same path. Another example of how they would like to make it in American music industry can be heard when you listen to Big Bang's or 2NE1's lyrics that though sometimes released in Japanese, a lot is left untranslated and in English. Some songs with other artists have English words in it, and some even include phrases. Any of these lyrics sound familiar, and easy to memorize?
"Give it to my Y, listen to my Y. It's over baby."
"I can't breathe, I'm gonna let you know. Here's my love for you boy, I just can't breathe."
"Every night I'll be with you. Do you love her? Do you love me?"
"Can you hear my heartbeat? Listen to my heartbeat. It's beating for you, it's waiting for you."
"Baby there's no playin' delayin', always got me feelin' that healin' I don't want it ever to end."

These phrases are quite catchy and easier to memorize for those of us who can't speak Korean. It is seen as quite an honor to be famous in America. Remember that Rain was very proud of being given a trophy for his acting in the American movie "Ninja Assassin."

Anyone noticed how strange it was that JYJ left not only S.M. Entertainment but also  a Japanese company. Was their real motive against S.M. Entertainment the cruel contract or was it to reach higher seas?

Do you think that if a Korean group debuts in America and is accepted, they will be guaranteed global success?

MBLAQ's releases their first full album "BLAQ Style"

Fans have been waiting for MBLAQ's new album eagerly and were waiting for months, but not anymore! MBLAQ released their first full album yesterday which has thirteen tracks which consist of 9 new songs, intro and outro, and 2 remixes of their hit singles "Y" and "Oh Yeah". For their first album, I have to admit that they did an excellent job with the songs and lyrics. All the songs have catchy rythms and will keep you hooked until each song ends (which a formidable feat). Of course the most popular songs in the album are "Cry" (produced by the famous E-Tribe) and "Stay," which are the main songs. Not only are the new songs excellent but the remixes are actually pretty good. I admit I was actually listening to the "Oh Yeah" remix over and over until I became obsessed with "Stay", which is also one of the singles on their new album.
Overall the album is one of the best I have seen until now since they have debuted. Their style has change and you can tell they have matured as musicians. Give the album a listen (I know you won't regret it). Be sure to see the preview of their new MV for their song "Stay" also, which will leave you anticipating for the full version (it's a nice treat so ~watch it down below~).

    Update [110107]
Now Minho and Onew (SHINee) have also showed their support for DBSQ by posting each a picture on SHINee's me2day with Changmin and also posting a comment:

Onew posted, “None other than TVXQ!!! Our Yunho hyung~ and Changmin hyung that I love, who never let us down!!! You know it’s the beginning right~~^^? Everyone, from today’s first broadcast to their future, give your attention to the TVXQ hyungs’ steps!!! Ajajajajajajajat!!!!!!!!!!! Fighting!!!!!!!!!!

SM Entertainment Celebrities defend DBSK on Twitter

Since the twitter controversy that began after the tweets made by JYJ's Junsu towards DBSK(http://www.allkpop.com/2011/01/xiah-junsus-ambiguous-tweets-to-tvxqs-yunho-concerns-fans), SM Entertainment celebrities began to defend their fellow comrades.
    Sungmin tweeted:
“After keeping it in after sometime, I’m leaving this message because I feel this has gone too far. Does (he) not remember the old days when we said we’d work hard together? We were happy even when we were practicing. Did (he) really forget the times when we thought going on broadcast even just once felt like a dream? I’d like it if (he) could look in the mirror once again and think whether (he) has forgotten his rookie mindset~ I understood and forgave them for leaving us without a single word so they could find their own paths, but I don’t know why they are making fools out of people who are quietly doing well by saying all kinds of these absurd lies and hurtful sayings.”

Even Super Junior's Shindong retweeted a message by BoA and Black Beat’s Sim Jaewon's which said:
“Enemy (敵): An opponent who wants to fight or hurt another.
Ingratitude (背恩忘德): An attitude of one throwing away their indebtedness to someone and betraying them.
In other words, saying that my family wants to fight or hurt another is an attitude of one throwing away their indebtedness to them and betraying them!”

Seems like it's going to be an ugly fight between celebrities from SM Entertainment and JYJ.

Well guys, how do you think this confrontation will unfold? Leave a comment below.

    WGM Update

    Adam Couple
The Adam Couple confirmed this week that they would end their virtual marriage. Everything was so sudden and shocking to many of their fans since the couple had just shared a kiss on the previous episode. Now it has been announced that the last episode starring the Adam Couple will be aired on January 15th. This may be sad news for some, but lets not forget that WGM has consisted of three couples most of the time. If this trend continues, a new couple will appear on the show soon.
Many are commenting that B2ST's Yoseob and Rainbows leader Jaekyung are being considered,,,             who do you want for We Got Married?

    Infinite is back

With the beginning of the year comes the return of my favorite male rookie group of 2010 INFINITE. These boys are fierce and their video is nothing low of Epic. Even though the video has been consider too violent and inappropriate for minors, many people have disagreed. The video shows a lot of effort and hard work by the members of INFINITE, hope you enjoy it.

Try it before you "hate" it

I'm a very biased person sometimes.
When I dislike a book cover I wont read the book, and sometimes I miss out on great stories.
If I dislike a person at first sight, I will not talk to them, and I miss out on good friends.
If I read extremely great reviews on an artist, I won't listen to their music, because if everyone likes the music, then somethings wrong. Like Twilight. Right.
    Wrong.
This happened to me lately with the singer IU. When I first read about her in November I didn't give her a chance. Specially when I started hearing that Seulong (2AM) was getting anti-fans just form hugging her during a performance. I thought, what is so great about this girl, that she has all of Korea going crazy? Today I finally had the luck to stumble on her video "Good Day" while looking at videos on YouTube. Suprisingly her lyrics were extremely good and her voice was not lacking. the girl has charm and talent. In truth I appreciate her music, and though I am still upset that others (Seulong) are suffering for very dumb things indeed, I think I found a new artist I like.
'For those of you who haven't seen her video, or like me, haven't given her a chance, here is "Good Day" by IU.

    MV Releases

The year of 2011 is a great year for the Kpop industry as there is many great artist's having their comeback. Recently the boy-group sensation MBLAQ revealed the new MV for their title song "Cry" from their newly anticipated album. The music video has a great choreography and just like their mentor Rain, they looked awesome under the rain (no pun intended). The video perfectly shows off their skills and every member's unique persona.
Now, many fans have been anticipating to see how DBSK would sound and look without the rest of the members, but it seems that they have nothing to worry about. DBSK has now released the MV for their comeback song "Keep your Head Down" which is nothing far from epic. The DBSK members display a feeling of dominance and power that perfectly fits their song, which I am sure fans did not expect from U-Know and Changmin. Keep up the good work!
GD & TOP have style and charisma in anything they do, and they definitely showed it off in their MV for their song "KNOCK OUT". The music video shows G-Dragon and TOP in all their randomness with them even riding in segways, and dancing with hot chicks, but then again, the latter isn't very surprising. I have to say, the MV did great on depicting GD & TOP's style and flair to perfection.
All three MVs were great to start the new year with but in your opinion, which one was the one that stood out the most and took the show?

    2AM: Impressive [101230]

2AM took the stage during the KBS Music Festival 2010, one of the best stages.

This video might be a little old but it doesn't stop impressing me. 2AM is so versatile, and talented.
Changmin ... charming, one of the best voices of kpop.
Seulong ... handsome and flashy (who said 2AM didn't dance?).
Jinwoon ... just has star quality (totally different on stage).
Jo Kwon ... way better than Justin Bieber, anytime (kkap king).

Sometimes I think they don't get enough credit. What is your opinion on 2AM?

    Happy Birthday Sungmin!

If you don't already know, or did not remember, today falls on one of our beloved Suju's birthday. I hope he enjoyed the new year's eve along with his birthday, and that the fellow members treated him to a cake. We are glad to see the inmense amount of posts wishing Sungmin a happy birthday that can be seen on the official forum. Happy 25th Birthday Sungmin!

As for the Super Junior comeback, we are hoping we get feedback from Super Junior M this year!  Henry Lau recently uploaded his picture with the comment "Hey its been a while! How have u all been? Hope u haven't' forgotten me!!! Sjm comin soon! Love!" on to his twitter. This gives us hints and anticipation that they are working hard or that they will begin working soon on the comeback! Now comes the question that they did not have to worry about for some time, "Who will be the next Super Junior M leader?" Now that Hangeng left the company it leaves the spot open. It would make sense that the leader has to know Mandarin, no? So who do you think will be the leader, Zhou Mi or Henry Lau?

Even though some fans are still posting in the official forums with the signature, "SJ = 13" I hope they get it to their heads that SM Entertainment won't be moved by this. Super Junior, Fighting!

    Expectations for 2011

Well, to start of the year on the right foot,
here are our expectations for the kpop industry in 2011.
    1. The Khuntoria couple will finally accept that they are dating/in love.
    2. The Guguma couple will continue on the right path (more skin-ship please!)
    3. S.M the Ballad will release more awesome tracks, and continue bringing us "Hot times".
    4. The Wonder Girls will return to giving us great music (and give SNSD some competition).
    5. SM will finally give SuJu the attention they need (Please a comeback...)
    6. Amber will return to F(x), because shes a key factor in f(x).                                                                              [110103] Amber is officially back in Korea , but I won't believe shes actually back until I see a comeback. [110321] Okay she just did a photo shoot with f(x) yay !!!
These are my expectations for 2011. What do you expect from k-pop during this new year?
