Drama of the Week: Dream High

A girl with a cold exterior + Two very handsome guys + A friend turned enemy +
A biased mind + The love for music+ The birth of friendships+ First Love
= A Chance To Dream High

Dream High is a drama with an extensive idol cast.
The leads of the drama are:
Miss A's Suzy,
2PM's Taecyeon,
and Actor Kim Soo Hyun
Secondary rolls, which turn out to be bigger than expected at first are:
2PM's Wooyoung,
Solo Singer IU,
and T-ara's Eunjung.

The drama takes place in a school of performing arts, and revolves around a group of six teens who will do anything in order to reach their goals, and become idols. Each of them has his/her own story and problems, as well as a unique reason to be the best.

Side Notes !!!
  • The beginning may seem lacking but the overall story comes together and makes sense after the second episode. Don't loose fate !!!
  • Many people mention Suzy's acting, along with the words: Horrible and Lacking, but personally I don't think her acting is bad for her first gig. Her character Go Hye Mi wins the viewer over.
  • This dramas OST is awesome, and fits the story line perfectly.

FUNNY CUT !!!

Drama of the Week: Secret Garden

Secret Garden is a really good drama that deals with the mundane and the extraordinary in a very classy way...

Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin) is a rich, good looking man, who is a little cold, and unforgiving. He is manipulative and always obtains what he wants. His plans are to marry a women in his class level, never once considering loving her.

Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), is a stunt actress who receives little recognition. She lives a interesting life although it has always been hard for her, since her father died when she was young. She has no money, no house of her own, and no expensive clothes.

Ra Im has nothing Joo Won would want, and his character instantly repels Ra Im, but destiny has it that their stories meet and become one.

A women who has fallen for the man that cannot truly appreciate her +
A collision with magic + A change of bodies + Parental opposition
= An Amazing Must See Drama

For all the skeptics out there ...  this drama is really good, don't give up on it with out watching it, just because you do not want to follow the crowd. This might be the only time following the crowd is acceptable :)

Warning: Obsession with Hyun Bin may be a secondary reaction to watching this drama

Here is a taste of the amazing OST

Drama of the Week: Shining Inheritance

Synopsis: "The series is about a woman, Go Eun Sung, who is appointed as the heir of a big food company, by an old lady (Jang Sook Ja) she helped. Jang Sook Ja was touched by Eun Sung's compassion, and brings Eun Sung to home and announced to her family that Eun Sung was going to live with them and appoints her as the heir of her food company instead of her own grandson, Sun-Woo Hwan. The drama maintained its top spot in viewer ratings for ten consecutive weeks in Korea."- Viki.com

I had never seen Lee Seung Ki in action, and on the net people always talked about Shining Inheritance, so I decided to watch it. To be honest I plunged in to view with high expectations, and I am glad to say, I was not disappointed; AT ALL.

The OST is really fits the scenes and makes the viewer get extremely into it. There is a song especially by K.Will "Love is Punishment" which makes your heart feel warm but in pain at the same time.

The actors are extremely phenomenal. Lee Seung Ki is able to develop his character so well, from making the viewer dislike him, but then as the drama progresses and he matures, you begin loving every single thing he does. The main actress also makes you feel her pain and sadness all through the drama, and to be honest she's not hate-able. It's not everyday that you find a heroine who isn't a pain in the butt all the time. The one who I will most remember from this drama though, is the step-mom. My god is she one of the best actors in the drama; the viewer learns to hate her more and more throughout the whole drama to the point of thinking inexcusable things that you would be happy happened to her.

All in all, I am glad that I began to watch this drama. It had me hooked the whole time and deprived me of sleep and of being active since it kept me hooked to the computer the whole day, seriously 24/7. This drama is definitely recommended for all types of people!! It's easy to find online so i'm sure you guys won't have trouble searching for it. Seriously, do not miss out!

Drama of the Week: Lie To Me

SBS's romance masterpiece: Lie To Me.
I've introduced this drama to some of my friends who are not Korean-oriented and yet they still loved it. The scenes and scenarios are not overly exaggerated as I'm used to seeing in Korean Dramas, and is more down to earth. Gong Ah Jung, the female main character, was not a useless girl that depends on a guy. Throughout the whole drama she was a strong character that prided herself on accomplishments from her own efforts (it made me respect the character).   The male lead, Hyun Ki Joon, was as described: handsome, well-mannered, rich, responsible, and cultured. Though he was strict, demanding, liked to boss people around, he has a heart mode out of cotton. Well not that soft, but he was a romantic man and could melt any woman's heart in a blink. Over all I enjoyed watching this drama a little too much. It made me cry, laugh (more like rofl), smile, sigh, and clench my fists. This is a must-see drama, and I'd recommend it to anyone at any given second!

I'd also like to mention to of the songs from the OST that impressed me.
The first one is As One & EZ-Life's "Lovin Ice Cream," the second is MBLAQ's "I Belong to You."

Drama of the Week: City Hunter

Okay, so at first I wasn't very interested in the new drama "City Hunter" even though Lee Minho is in it, but since it is Minho, I decided to give it a try.

Was it worth it?

HECK YEAH!

From the beginning of the first episode I already felt the rush from all the action happening. Lee Minho does the stunts and, wow, he really surprised me his awesome butt-kicking skills(apart from his good looks, but that shouldn't be important here, right?).

The drama starts off insanely good and as the first episode goes by the adrenaline rush doesn't disappear! The whole cast of the drama portrays their roles to a perfect "T" and make you intrigued at the development of their characters as the drama will progress. Not only is the cast fantastic, but the soundtrack is seriously EPIC. The soundtrack reminds me of IRIS so much and fits the tone and mood of the drama.

The drama has started off on the right foot and leaves anticipation for the rest of the episodes. If you still haven't started watching it and are interested, don't hesitate! There really was no trailer so here is a little preview i found:
